In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Harold Charles Gonce; and one brother, Reagan Constant.
An amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother, Harold loved being outdoors, swimming, boating or just sitting out in the sunshine listening to the birds; and had an interest in classic/antique cars. He enjoyed traveling and owned and operated his own trucking company. Harold was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
Pa Paw's family meant the world to him, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Edna P. Holbert; three children, Pat Holbert, Harold Holbert, Jr. (BJ) and Nikki Austin; four grandchildren, Dwayne Holbert (Amanda), Brandon Holbert, Bridgette Melton (Hunter) and Brittany Labador; and three great grandchildren, Dylan Holbert, Gracie Holbert and Dawson Melton. He is also survived by seven siblings, James Holbert, Vera King, Darlene Gallimore, Raleigh Holbert, Marvin Holbert, Linda Alwran and Sherman Holbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Beddingfield officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
