He enjoyed farming and was the former owner of Silo Conversion. Jim was an avid fan of NASCAR and current member of Greater Faith Church.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Sid Beckham, Loretta Wainscott and Edna Palmer.
Jim is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Twilla (Fitzgerald) Beckham; children, Dedie Cooley (Bret), Shannon Beckham (Patty Hansel); brother, Dave Beckham; grandchildren, Morgan Thompson (David), Cherish Cooley, Hunter Cooley; and great-grandchildren, Skyler Dean and Everhett James.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 with his funeral service taking place at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
