A native of Ashley, she was the former Wanda Poperowitz. She resided in Ashley until 1946, when she moved to Wilkes-Barre.
Mrs. Charneski was a member of St. Mary of the Maternity Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; son, Carl, at home; daughters, Miss Loretta, Binghamton, N. Y.; Sister Cynthia Ann, with the Order of St. Francis, Dearborn, Mich.; brothers, Edward Poperowitz, Kearny, N.J.; Leo, New York City; Thomas, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Mrs. Regina Enosh, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral will be held from the Nat Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, Monday morning at 9 with a Requiem Mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Church. Interment in
the parish cemetery, West Wyoming.
