Manning Frederick "Fred" Berry 83 of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home.

Fred was born August 04, 1940 in Ralls County, Missouri the son of Otis Frederick and Alice Lou (Thompson) Berry.

Fred was a graduate of Monroe City High School in Monroe City, Missouri. He attended the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City. He worked at the Monro Shoe Factory for 20 years, including in DeWitt, Arkansas. While in DeWitt he made many lifelong friends. He eventually retired and became a self employed truck driver. He enjoyed playing golf and watching football on the television. He love cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Mizzou Tigers. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening in his later years.

He married Jane Killian March 08, 1975 she preceded him in death August 22, 2001. He then married Henrietta "Etta" Stanley, she survives him of the home.

Fred is also survived by two sons Tony Ray Berry (Loretta) and David Alan Berry. Six grandchildren Katie Dittamore (Chris), Marsha Sullivan (Walt), Lucas Chancellor (Chandel), Jeremy Berry (Brandy), Jacob Chancellor (Heather) and David Berry. Twelve great grandchildren Raymond "Alex" Sullivan, Brie Berry (Dylan Guthrie), Brittany Berry, Brooklyn Berry, Henry Berry, Charles Berry, Cheney Dittamore, Raegan Dittamore, Vance Chancellor, Evelyn Chancellor and Avery Chancellor. One great grandchild Brayln Guthrie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane Killian and his daughter Carol Berry Chancellor Kraft.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri, Fr. Greg Oligschlaeger will officiate. Burial will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Monroe City, Missouri.
