There were a several Brungardt families on this ship having daughters named Katharina, but they were all 2 years or older except for this one. The attached image from the church death register records this Katharina's death at 12 months old on 17 December 1876. Balthasar and wife then had another daughter on 11 November 1877 and named her Katharina.
As with other early deaths in Victoria, she was probably buried in the First Catholic cemetery and later disinterred and moved to St. Fidelis. There is no headstone for her.
