Robert (Bob) Dean Adee, age 88, died in Belleville on February 8, 2022. He was born July 24, 1933, in Arnold, NE, the eldest of five children.
The family moved to Haddam, KS, in 1949, where he graduated high school in 1951. He obtained his Associates Degree from Fairbury Junior College.
He married Peggy Rychtarik-Rogers in 1953, and to this union were born seven children: Joan (Larry) Pape of Washington, KS; June Stafford of Salida, CO; Jack (Kathy) Adee of Haddam, KS; Roberta Verhoek of Danbury, TX; Rex (Robbin) Adee of Arcadia, OK; Robert Adee of Republic, KS; and Herb (Elizabeth) Adee of Lake Lotawana, MO. They divorced. In 1977, he married Evelyn Hislop. Through this marriage he gained a stepson, Jarvis (Butch) Renfro of Bruce, SD.
He worked for the Belleville, KS newspaper; the State of Kansas; and auto body shop; operated his own beekeeping business; then until retiring in 2015, worked for his brother Richard, in Bruce, SD, driving semi-tractor trailers.
He was preceded in death by his parent Vernon and Beulah Mae (Layher) Adee; wife, Evelyn (Hilsop) Adee; brother, Stanley Adee; sister, Donna (Robert) Adee; great-grandchildren Kamryn Aufdengarten and Carson Adee.
He is survived by his children; a brother, Richard (Alice) Adee of Bruce, SD, and sister, Vernamae Johnson of Chicago, IL.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at Brantford Covenant Cemetery.
