Lewis enjoyed going out to feed the birds and eating his favorite snack, "Cheetos", while watching every news channel available on TV. Lewis worked in the Rensselaer and Remington area before settling into an office position at Better Coil in Goodland and later retiring.
Surviving along with his companion, Marie are daughters, Sharrina Loftis and Carla Bohlinger, son, Kevin Hoaks, brothers, Leslie (Ann) Hoaks, Glen (Deb) Hoaks, sister, Donna (Bruce) Jeffers, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death along with his parents, son, Gary L, brothers, Dale, Melvin, Alvin and Norman and sisters, Hazel Robinson, Elsie Minick, Doris Hall, Wilma Holt and Vera Yenna.
Cremation rites have been chosen with Celebration of Life held at a later date..
