On Saturday, December 23, 2023, beloved wife, mother and faithful friend, Evelyn Joyce Moore of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away from this life at the age of 87. Evelyn was born in Atoka, Oklahoma, on February 22, 1935, to Robert Alexander Lewis and Neoma Lee (Granger) Lewis. She attended Atoka High School, where she excelled in her studies and played on the basketball team.

On November 29, 1951, Evelyn married the love of her life, Loren Moore. With their loving union came three children: Ivy, Larry, and Carol. Due to Loren's military service, the family traveled frequently, spending time in both Japan and The Philippines.

Evelyn spent many of her working years doing inventory control at Lucent Technologies. After her retirement from the company in 1997, she went on to pursue a lifelong passion – dollmaking. Evelyn fine-tuned her talent, earning the title of Certified Master China Doll Maker and going on to own and operate her own doll shop for over 15 years.

Her wonderful sense of humor and consistently cheerful demeanor made everyone's days brighter. Evelyn was an excellent cook, a diligent worker, superior crocheter and knitter, and by all accounts, a terrible Bridge player. She was also generous and thoughtful, with a loving heart and remarkable sense of empathy. She will be very dearly missed.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Loren Moore, her son, Larry Moore, her parents, Neoma and Robert Lewis, and two brothers, Robert Lewis, Bennie Lewis.
