Betty Jo was born March 16, 1927 south of Quinlan, Oklahoma to Roy and Laverne Bradshaw Johns and passed away December 22, 2023 at the Baptist Village of Enid. She attended Mayfield School, Happy Hollow School and graduated from Quinlan High School in 1944. She married Howard DeBock on July 18, 1944 in Woodward and he passed away January 1, 2017. Shortly after being married they went off to boot camp at Fort Hood, TX. After being discharged from the Army they moved back to the family farm near Quinlan. Betty Jo enjoyed her farm life for over 77 years. She moved to the Golden Oaks Village on March 11, 2021.
Betty gave her life to Christ at the age of 10 and was an active member of Quinlan Methodist Church until she moved to Enid.
She is survived by her children: Terry DeBock of Hennessey, Ann and husband Dean Goll of Alva, and Gayla and her husband Evert Walton of Enid, grandchildren, Devin and Dawn DeBock, Tyla and Chad Mantz, Kendra and Todd Hamilton, Deana and Carson Silk, Melissa and Justin McGann, Sabrina and Dustin Dierksen, and 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Evalyn and Wayne Johnson, as well as other family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Marvin and Don Johns, and daughter-in-law Kathy DeBock.
