MATTIE JO DODSON EASON, age 59, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Eason was born in Shelbyville, Tenn., to the late Russell David Dodson and Ruby Bell Neal Dodson. She was employed for many years at Wisco Envelope Company in Tullahoma before becoming disabled. Ms. Eason was a member of the Good News Baptist Church in Decherd, Tenn. She loved spending time with her family and watching Criminal Minds and game shows on T.V. Ms. Eason could often be found listening to "The Listening Bible", since her eye sight had gotten to where she couldn't read very well. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her Sister, Racheal Dodson and Brother, George Dodson.
She is survived by her Sons; Daniel Crosslin and wife, Lanisa of Huntland, Andrew Crosslin (Amy Baker) of Tullahoma, Robert Grant also of Tullahoma and Drew Crosslin of Huntland, Tenn. Brothers, Kenneth Dodson and wife, Sherry of Tullahoma, Dale Dodson and wife, Patsy of Lynchburg, Sister, Sylvia Hargrove and husband, Richard of Lynchburg. Numerous Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Dan Syler, officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until service time at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Lynchburg with family serving as pallbearers.
