Hary C. Blaco, of Kennard, died Wednesday of this week following a stroke on Tuesday, October 12. Deceased was a native of the county and was past seventy-one years of age at his death.
He was born on the Richard Blaco farm northwest of Kennard and there he grew to manhood and received his education. After the death of his father, he purchased the home place and by hard work and close application to business, he paid for it.
Later he moved to Kennard and went into the implement business which he conducted for a number of years.
When a young man, he was a candidate for county clerk, but was defeated and he remained on the farm with his father. After moving to Kennard, he was elected to the office of county commissioner from his district and all told he served his district in that capacity for sixteen years.
He was married to Miss Marie Jensen*** on April 26, 1899, but had no children and he leaves the grief stricken widow and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wardell, of Creighton, Nebraska; Mrs. Myrtle Wulf and Mrs. Gertrude ?ale**, of Benson, who grieved his passing.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Methodist Church in Kennard with Rev. A. W. Clark officiating and interment will be made in the Kennard Cemetery.
