In 1944, Earl organized the "Weatherford Quartet" and was in the gospel music ministry for nearly 49 years. Throughout that time he was responsible for many famous singers, pastors and musicians who now have ministries of their own. Many lives were led to the Lord through his and their ministries.
Earl is survived by his wife, Lily Fern, of the home; a son and a daughter; a brother, Vernon Weatherford of Riverside, Ca.; 3 sisters, Bonnie Logan of Pauls Valley, Ok., Betty Williams and Bobbie Lantz of McAlester, Ok.; and 1 granddaughter.
