She was born September 26, 1936, in Mountain View, Missouri, a daughter of the late Floyd Nelson and Mary Alice (Piper) Rowlett.
She married Norman Lee "Bub" Malench on March 19, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri and he passed away on June 16, 2022.
She retired in 1991 from A.G. Edwards after ten years of dedicated service as a clerk. She enjoyed her days of crocheting, sewing and reading and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Keith (Maureen Monton) Malench of Glen Carbon, Terry Malench of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Robert (Karyn) Malench of Highland Park, Illinois; two grandchildren, Alex Malench and Selene Malench; a sister, Donna Pflanz of St. Louis; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband of 62 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Malench and a sister, Peggy Jane Lester.
In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Lucas Hergert officiating.
Entombment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
