Stephen Neal Coble, 61, died Friday, December 8, 2023 at his home in Broken Arrow. He was born June 6, 1962 in Stigler to James "Tinker" Coble and Judy (Floyd) Coble. He grew up in Stigler and graduated with the class of 1980. He moved to Tulsa and began working in the Oil Field for 2 years and for the State of Oklahoma for 10 years. He purchased Friendly's Tavern in 1994 and operated it until his death. He will be remembered as a very giving man who helped others silently and without fanfare. He was gifted at gambling and was an accomplished card player and excelled at poker. He loved the Ocean and visited many times over his life time. Steve was an avid sports fan, especially football. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by one daughter, Rachael Fisk and husband Kevin of McAlester; one son, Stephen Coble Jr. of Broken Arrow; 2 grandchildren, Kameron and Kylie Fisk of Broken Arrow; one niece, Brianna Coble of Porum. He is preceded in death by his parents, James "Tinker" and Judy Coble; 2 brothers, Greg and Bryan Coble.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Antioch Cemetery with Reverend Tommie Parker officiating. Pallbearers will be Hank Harvey, Blue Harvey, David Dillon, John Dock, Mike Dillon. Burial will follow under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
