Ann "Sue" Boehne, 98, of Arlington Heights, IL, formerly of Itasca for 55 years, went home to her Lord on December, 1, 2023, surrounded by those she loved.
Born in Columbus, OH to the late George and Catherine (nee Treahey) Schwaigert, she was the loving and beloved wife of Paul Boehne; they were married for 55 years before his passing in 2001.
Sue is survived by her devoted children, Karen (Gary) Umlauf, Kenneth (Marianne) Boehne, Keith (Susan) Boehne, and Kevin (Anne) Boehne; her loving grandchildren, Robert (Elizabeth) Umlauf, Daniel (Lindsey) Boehne, Angela (Christopher) Schieffer, Rebecca (Stefan) Ilic, Christopher Boehne, Steven (Brittany) Boehne; Lora (James) Kalka, Jonathan (Connie) Boehne, Paul Boehne, and Patrick (Sarah) Boehne; her treasured great-grandchildren, Adeline and Lydia Umlauf, Lucille and Liliana Boehne, William, Annabelle, and Augustine Schieffer, Emilia and Pavle Ilic, Matthew, Keith and Wyatt Boehne, Thomas Boehne, Wilhelm Boehne, and Elyse Boehne. She is also survived by her sister, Lorene Hoover of Columbus, OH; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her "best friend" and caregiver, Lynn Dorsey. Sue was preceded in death by her brother, George Schwaigert, and sister, Mary McCann.
A visitation will be held at The Lutheran Church of Saint Luke, 410 South Rush Street, Itasca, IL 60143 on December 10, 2023, at 1:00p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m.
The funeral will then be proceeding to Saint Luke's Cemetery for a graveside service at 3:15 p.m.
