Agusti Agostino was born on July 4, 1897 in Saint Quirico, Genova, Genova, Liguria, Italy. His service in the United States Army began on April 21, 1917; he served as a Private First Class during World War I.

He emigrated from Italy to the United States, in or around 1918. He married Rose Etta Houseman on March 13, 1920 in Martinez, California, in Contra Costa County. He and his wife spent their years in Martinez, California and raised their family there.

He must have gone to visit his home town or his family in Italy, because he arrived back in New York on November 26, 1952 from Genova, Italy on the passenger ship SS Vulcania of Italia Line...a ship with an interesting history of repatriating women and children in Africa, and service as a US troopship.

Agusti Agostino died on September 12, 1960 in Martinez, CA, and was interred on September 16, 1960 at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California.
