To this union 12 children were born:

There is some controversy as to whether Rebecca "Fannie" & Jesse Garner were actually married.
- I have Not found a marriage license for them.
- Jesse's obituary lists 'wife Rebecca; step sons Ernest Caudle, Tommy Caudle, Dean Caudle and William Caudle; step daughters Retha Campbell, Reba Campbell, Redith Weems, Cledith Gray, Loretta Hall and Delta Anderson.'
