Mrs. Laura J. Hays of Macomb departed this life on June 19th. She was born and raised in Wright county her maiden name being Bennett. She became the wife of Drue Hays, who with the four children, are left to battle this life with its cares, while she leaves good evidence that she has gone to Heaven. She professed a hope in Christ in early life and joined the Free Baptist church at Pleasant Ridge and lived and died in the church. She also leaves four brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Her body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery and her funeral was preached Sunday by Rev. C. N. Findley at Pleasant Ridge in the presence of a large assembly. The appointments of the Lord must be filled. May the Lord bless the family.
