JAMES S. ALLEN
AVA- James S. Allen, 89, Ava, died at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday in Senior Citizens Center Nursing Home in Mansfield after a six-month illness.
A retired farmer, Mr. Allen was a member of the Church of Christ in Ava.
Surviving are his wife, Alice, a daughter, Mrs. Nola McClain, Twin Falls, Idaho; five sons, Uba, Twin Falls, Idaho, Carl, Route 3, Ava, Clyde and Chester, both of Route 1, Ava, and Clell, Riverbank, Calif.; a step-son, Marion Miller, Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Chaney, Springfield; and 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Clinkingbeard Chapel here with Virgil Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Arden Cemetery, 12 miles east of here.

Jim, age 89 years, passed away at Cenior (Senior) Citizen Center, where he had been for a month, usual residence was at Ava, Douglas, Mo.

Married to Alice Allen.

Son of Randolph Allen and Elizabeth Hartley.

Retired Farmer and no military.

Burial on 28 Nov. 1965 in Arden Cemetery, Arden, Mo.
