Buel Grigsby Jr. a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, the 13th day of November 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on the 23rd day of September 1940, in Elkhart, Texas to parents, Adget Buel Grigsby and Arlena Harrison Grigsby. Buel lived a life full of adventure and love. His departure from this world signifies his heavenly reunion with his beloved wife, Betty Jo Grigsby.

Buel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elkhart for over fifty years, where he and his wife, Betty, taught numerous Sunday School classes, helping to guide and shape the faith of generations.

Buel owned and operated Grigsby TV Sales and Service since 1961, serving his community with dedication and integrity. Beyond his professional life, Buel had a deep love for the land. He spent countless hours working on his property, feeding his animals, and tending to his vegetable garden. This connection to nature was a testament to his hardworking nature.

A man of many interests, Buel had a passion for the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He spent countless hours on the water, enjoying the peace and tranquility it offered. Buel was also an excellent water skier and took great pleasure in teaching children how to ski, leading to many memorable summer days spent on the lake. He was known for his straightforwardness. He always said what was on his mind, a trait that endeared him to many.

Buel is survived by his loving family, who cherished him dearly. His family includes his daughter, Becky Rutledge, and husband Richard, of Elkhart, his sons Brent Grigsby and wife Kellie, of Palestine, and Brian Grigsby and friend Jeanette, of Lake Palestine. Buel's legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Rebecca Rutledge, Russell Rutledge, Breanna Lomax and husband Chase, Caitlyn Grigsby, Fisher Grigsby, and Brooke Grigsby. His great-grandchild, Kayzum Lomax, will continue to hear stories of her great-grandfather's lake days, handy skills, and boundless love.

A graveside service to celebrate Buel Grigsby's life is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on, the 18th day of November 2023 Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas with Bro. Jason Hoffman officiating.

Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Bobbie Stovall, Thomas Vaughn, Johnnie Keeling, Richard Rutledge, Russell Rutledge, and Chase Lomax.
