Ann Greene Rawls,90, passed away on Tuesday November 7, 2023, at Hospice House Sherrills Ford. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret Berry. She was preceded in death by spouses Tom Greene and Ben Rawls. Ann graduated in 1956 from Charlotte Memorial Hospital with a Nursing Diploma. After retiring from her early career in nursing at Cleveland Memorial Hospital, she became the Executive Director of Cleveland Home Health Agency.
Ann is survived by sons Tommy Greene of Shelby, David (Lara) Greene of High Point, daughter Laura (Bill) McBrayer of Hickory and a sister Helen (Dan) Faris of Charlotte. She has four grandchildren, Will (Abbey) McBrayer of Knoxville, Thomas (Robin) McBrayer of Raleigh, Elizabeth Greene of Atlanta, and Carter Greene of Raleigh.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday November 11, 2023, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Shelby, with Rev. Randy Blanton, Rev. Amy Spivey, and Rev. Willis Greene Officiating. A private burial will take place prior to the Service. The family will receive friends following the service at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
