GILLUM, Dewey Age 89, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday morning, September 17, 2006 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born October 30, 1916 in Elliott Co., Ky to the late Thurman & Alma (Stableton) Gillum. Mr. Gillum was a US Army veteran of WW II; member of the Bearcreek Church of the Brethren: and loved to hunt and fish. He retired in 1985 from Laborer's Union 1410.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 42 years Audrey (Mullins) Gillum; and brothers Elwood and Newton Gillum.

Survived by daughter Alma Cotterman & husband Carl of Piqua; son Timothy Gillum of West Alexandria & his fiancé Kelly: 4 grandchildren: 4 great grandchildren: brothers and sister Leroy Gillum of Germantown, OH; Leonard Gillum of Miamisburg, OH; Charles Gillum of Ashland, KY; Charlotte Leadingham of Grayson, KY; and Carson Gillum of Flatwoods, KY.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Ron Wenzel presiding. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Bearcreek Church of the Brethren. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
