Josephine "Jodie" Marie Moore, 76, of Monett, MO, passed from this life on Monday, November 6, 2023.
Jodie was born on March 9, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late John Marion Eldridge and Josephine Rosalee (Macelli) Eldridge. Jodie's family moved around to several states when she was young, but she finally settled in Monett. She had worked for many years at Jumping Jack Shoe Company and then retired from FASCO in 2008. Jodie was a member of the South West Action Team CB Club and New Life Free Will Baptist Church. She also enjoyed riding horses, going to rodeos, fishing and camping.
On June 4, 1966 in Monett, Jodie married Roy Moore. To this union, three children were born.
Jodie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one son, Roy Moore, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Mark Burns; two grandchildren, Justin and Erica Rose Burns; and one sister, Celia Smith.
Jodie is survived by one daughter, Joni Potter and husband Danny, of Monett; two grandchildren, Brandon Lee Potter and Evelyn Arizona Potter; nieces, Marie Baxter, Christy Kerns and Sally Robinson; nephews, Albert Smith and Noel Smith, Jr.; great-niece, Melissa Brown; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Deny Lemaster, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday. Memorial contributions have been suggested to Arnhart Cemetery in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
