Rites Monday For Clara Vaughan
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Vaughan, 81, were held Monday in the Arnold Moore funeral chapel. Mrs. Vaughan died Thursday in her home an extended illness.
A native of Indiana, Mrs. Vaughan was born August 2, 1876, in Jay City, and while still a small child moved with her family to Parsons, Kansas. Later they moved to Barber County, Kansas and then Idaho, where she was reared and received her education. In 1894 she married William Vaughan at Neosho, Mo., where they lived until his death in 1911.
In 1912, Mrs. Vaughan moved to Bartlesville and had been a resident of this area for the past 46 years.
Survivors include two son, Charles W. Vaughan, Bartlesville, and Leo R. Vaughan, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Howell, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, C. I. Adams, Bartlesville, and Fred Adams, Chanute, Kansas, and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Brenner, Chanute.
Following the services in Bartlesville Monday Mrs. Vaughan's body was removed to Baxter Springs, Kan., where interment was directed in the cemetery there.
