BLOOMINGTON - Delores Suttle, age 92, of Bloomington, IL, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal IL.
Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.
Her funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Steve Evans will be officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.
The family suggests memorials be made to Ruby's Rescue, 4035 County Rd. 600 N, McLean, IL 61754.
Delores was born July 3, 1931, in Vanzant, KY, the daughter of Jesse and Audrey (Sapp) Burnette. She married Roy T. Suttle on January 12, 1951. He passed away February 7, 2009.
Surviving are four children, three daughters and their husbands and one son; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two surviving sisters.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Delores enjoyed nature. She had a green thumb and enjoyed flowers and birds. Her family was "everything" to her. She was not only a wonderful mother, but was a best friend to her children. She instilled in her family a love of nature and to always see the "glass half full". Delores was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.
