William Henry Burnette age 84 of Wheatfield, IN passed away on March 16, 2014.

He was born on September 13, 1929 in Breckinridge County, KY to Jesse and Audrey (Sapp) Burnette, both deceased.

William attended Ellsworth High School and enlisted in the Army where he proudly served his country. William was a member of the Army Tank Corp. and served in Germany during the Korean War. On November 29, 1953, in LeRoy, Il He married the love of his life Shirley. Together they shared 60 years together and had 5 children. William worked for 40 years in the Grain Industry. He worked for Jones Elevator and Jasper County Farm Bureau Co-op. William was baptized in the Baptist Church in Kentucky.

William is survived by his loving children; Curtis Burnette, Montpelier, IN, Linda Scott (Jerry), West Lafayette, IN, Alan Burnette (Kassandra) Bufford, GA, and Daniel Burnette, Frankfort, IN. Grandchildren; Sarah and Holly Bennett, Megan and Brent (Amber) Burnette. Four Great Grandchildren. Sisters; Delores Suttle, Bloomington, IL, and Naomi (Wayne) Wyant, Arrowsmith, IL and Jesse "Laverne" Cavitt, Bloomington, IL. William was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Rebecca Ann. Sister; Bernice Jones and brother; Vernon Lee Burnette.
