Eliza became the second wife Taylor Gilman Hall at Windsor, VT on Nov. 4, 1835 after her sister Abigail, Taylor Hall's first wife, died in 1833. Eliza and Taylor were parents to five children, including Ellen, Abigail, George, Frederick, and William.
The family resided at 68 Trenton St. in East Boston, where her husband worked for more than 30 years as a real estate broker. Eliza was widowed in 1862. She continued to reside at the Trenton Street property until her death from a stroke at age 85. Her burial was in the family lot at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.
