FANCY FARM, Ky. -- William" Spalding Carrico, 68, of Fancy Farm, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital in Mayfield.

Mr. Carrico, a retired employee of the Kentucky State Department of Transportation, was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Cash Carrico; four sons, Danny Carrico of Murray, Jerry Carrico, Fred Carrico and Frank Carrico, all of Fancy Farm; four daughters, Miss Nancy Carrico and Miss June Carrico, both of Fancy Farm, Mrs. Sue Hathaway of Chicago, and Mrs. Mary Lynne Browning of Mayfield; a brother, George Carrico of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Ballard of Fancy Farm, and Mrs. Jean Thompson of Lexington, and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm. The Rev. Jerry Riney will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery.

Friends may call at Roberts Funeral Home in Mayfield after 3 p.m. today. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
