Judith "Judy" Lynn Reales, age 64, of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was born on August 20, 1959, in Gary, Indiana, to Robert and JoAnn (Coslet) Burton. Judith married Antonio "Tony" Reales on June 24, 1984, in Yuma, Arizona.
In addition to her loving husband, Tony Reales, she is survived by her four sisters, Cindy (Daniel) Smyth of Beverly Hills, Florida, Shelley (Keith) Hale, Susan (Troy Deso) Burton, and Stacey (Mark) Schultz, all of Valparaiso; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two daughters, Christina L. Hill and Melissa J. Hill; and three brothers, Jackie Burton, Ricky Lahayne, and Scott Holdren.
Judy graduated from Portage High School with the class of 1977. She was a member of Porter United Methodist Church, and was actively involved in church. Judy was also very active in the American Legion and Frontline Foundation. Judy enjoyed billiards, bingo, bunko, and singing karaoke in her spare time. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and rock hunting with her husband, Tony. Judy was also very passionate about her animals. Together with her husband, Tony, she helped out as little league coach for several years.
A funeral service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304. Visitation for Judy will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
