PORTSMOUTH, VA. – Betty Covert Moody, 91 departed this earth peacefully at home on Saturday, January 23, 2021. She was born on December 17, 1929 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Glen and Mary Covert.

She was predeceased by the love of her life and dancing partner of 71 years, Willard J. Moody, Sr.; her parents, Glen and Mary Covert; and two brothers, Allen Covert and Norman Covert.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel is handling these arrangements.
