Mildred E. Stillabower

Mildred E. Stillabower, 87, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at her residence in Franklin. She was a former resident of Edinburgh.

She was born March 27, 1911, in Bartholomew County. Her parents were James Edward and Nettie Mae (Wray) Neville. She married Robert Ira Stillabower on June 20, 1931. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1943. Survivors include a son, Robert C. Stillabower of Indianapolis; a daughter, Marilyn Brech of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a brother, Frank Neville of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, seven sisters, and a brother.

She was employed as a receptionist at Vandivier Funeral Home for 10 years and at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, retiring in 1981. She was a machinist for Arvin in Columbus for 25 years, retiring in 1975.

She was a member of Kansas Christian Church, located in what is now Camp Atterbury.

The Rev. Robert Dunham will conduct a service at noon Saturday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
