Mr. Crooms was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. He was the son of the late Thomas Hardwick and Annie Louise McDaniel Crooms. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan "Tookie" Rogers and a brother, Arthur "Bernard" Crooms.
Mr. Crooms was employed by Georgia Power at Plant Branch for 26 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the American Legion and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Shuler Crooms of Milledgeville; sons, Brian T. Crooms of Milledgeville and Ronald Crooms Jr. of Milledgeville; granddaughters, Ashley and Jennifer Crooms; sister, Lynn Martin of Cairo; brothers, Myron Crooms and Jimmy Crooms, both of Milledgeville.
