The wedding of Miss Myrtle Bruch and Mr. Arthur R. Laymon was solemnized at 9:00 am Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, north of Cherryvale, Kansas. Dr. Harold Anderson of Coffeyville read the simple ring ceremony in the presence of a few close friends and relatives.

Announcement has been received here of the marriage January 9 of Myrtle Laymon, 3000 Broadway, and Harold R. Merrifield, Denver, former Parsonian. The ceremony was performed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Denver with Elder Merle Howard officiating.
Attendants for the couple were cousins of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Allen who formerly lived in Parsons. Both the bride and bridegroom were dressed in brown suits for the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Merrifield are now at home at 6200 W. First Ave. in Denver. They plan to return to Parsons in the near future to establish their home here.

Mrs. Myrtle Bouse
Mrs. Myrtle Bouse, widow of Arthur Laymon, a former Parsons resident, died Saturday night at Guthrie Center, Iowa, of injuries received in an auto accident Friday. Her husband, Floyd, is in critical condition from injuries. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Don Kelsey of Wisconsin; three brothers, three sisters and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Des Moines, Iowa, at the Hamilton Funeral Home.
