DURBIN, MICKEY Mrs. Maxine "Mickey" Durbin, 74, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her home in Ennis. She was born April 26, 1929 in Dallas, the daughter of Adelbert and J. Leona Brown Swimm. She was reared in Dallas and was a graduate of Dallas North High School. She then attended Mountain View College. On Sept. 4, 1948 she was married to Vernon Durbin. After their marriage they lived in Dallas where they owned and operated Durbin Data Systems from 1974-1993. In 1999 they moved to Ennis. She is survived by her husband, Vernon, of Ennis; a son and his wife, Dr. Stephen and Conni Durbin of Ennis; 2 brothers, Albert Swimm of Bonham and Gilbert Swimm of Dallas; 3 sisters, Lillian Dennis of Dallas, Ruth Cheek of CA and Marion Lewis of Wichita Falls; and one grandson, Christian Durbin of Ennis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Swimm. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Craig Krueger officiating.
