Sarah was the daughter of Nicholas & Parthena (Drane) Long. She was born September 1947 in Audrain County, Missouri. On 11 May 1864 she was united in marriage to William A. Williams in Audrain County, Missouri. Together they had eight children: Lucinda (Lucy); Parthena Elizabeth; Archilles; Joseph, Jasper; Mollie C.; George T; and Gideon Nicholas (Nick). Two of their chidlren preceded her in death. After the birth of their youngest child they migrated to Oregon and settled in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Williams Dead
Mrs. Sarah F. Williams died December 21, 1898, at her home in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the fifty-first year of her age. She was the wife of W. A. Williams, formerly of this county but now of Hillsboro, who survives her. She had left six children, two girls and four boys. She had been from a girl a good, faithful Christian and was a consistent member of the M. E. church, South. She was a daughter of Nicholas Long, of this county.
