JOPLIN, Mo. — Betty Jean Wilson, age 64, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Wilson was born May 4, 1943, in Evansville, Ind., to Ernest Dean Arnall and Mary Sue Arnall. She was raised in Granby, Mo., and graduated from Granby High School in 1961. She was a homemaker and crafted and collected porcelain dolls. Betty Jean was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, of Joplin. Betty Jean married Martin J. Wilson on Sept. 18, 1964. He survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Anthony Wilson, of Pine Island, Minn., and Adam Wilson, Joplin; a daughter, Julie Fisher and husband, Derrick, Webb City, Mo.; a grandson, Kyler Wilson, Pine Island; and two granddaughters, Ashley Wilson, Neosho, Mo., and Jordyn Wilson, Pine Island. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Private burial will be in the Jones Chapel Cemetery, near Stella, Mo. The casket will be closed at all times. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, of Joplin.
