"Ella Josephine Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. under the auspices of the Second Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, at the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Chapel for Ella Josephine Henderson, 92, former longtime resident of Chico, who died Tuesday at a Sacramento hospital.
She was born March 24, 1889 in Farmington, California to John and Sarah Allington. She grew up and attended schools in the Stockton area.
In October 1909, she married William Albert Henderson in French Camp. They lived in the Stockton area from 1936 until 1943, when they came to Chico. Mr. Henderson predeceased her in 1955. For the last few years she had resided in Sacramento.
Of ten children the Hendersons had, seven are still living and they are 4 sons, Robert O. Henderson of Fort Bragg; Richard E. Henderson of Incline Village, Nevada; Clifford W. Henderson of Chico; Leland D. Henderson of Fort Bragg; 2 daughters, Leola E. Lott and Alice M. Guidi, both of Sacramento, one brother, Louis H. Allington of Youngville, Ca; 30 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. Burial will follow the service in the Christian Burial Society Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 this evening."
