He was in the National Guard for 6 years. After serving his country, he worked at Erickson's Auto Body for 25 years, then opened Watson Auto Body and operated it for 14 years. He also worked at Crossroads Collision for seven years.
On June 4, 1967, Larry married Connie Webb at Salina First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Connie, Salina, KS; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Dunlap, Salina, KS; two sons Eric (Kelly) Watson, Salina, KS; Chris (Shana) Watson, Bennington, KS; brother, Gary (Rocio) Watson, Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Wanda (Gary) Hicker, Olympia, Washington; Sheila Breck, Indiana; and 7 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Welday "Alan" Watson.
Visitation at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a private ceremony. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Larry's grandchildren in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, KS.
