The son of the late Oscar T. "Slick" Aldridge and Jessie G. (Morrow) Aldridge, Charles was born on April 16, 1935 at his family home in Mannsville, Oklahoma and passed away at his residence in Ardmore, Oklahoma on September 19, 2023 at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 3 days.

A resident of the Ardmore community since 1953, Charles graduated high school and had attended Murray State College briefly before marrying the love of his life, Mary Ruth Walcott on May 26, 1956 in Oakland, Oklahoma. Charles worked as a Draftsman and well test engineer for Samedan Oil Corporation for over 30 years. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed fishing and golfing and was a fantastic wood craftsman. His garden and flowers were always groomed. He was a member of McLish Avenue Church of Christ as an Elder and enjoyed worshipping as a song leader.

Preceding Charles in death were his parents; wife; brother Kenneth; and sisters, Charlotta Fitzgerald, Mary Bass and Betty Bartlett.

Funeral services will be at the McLish Avenue Church of Christ.

Interment will be at the Mannsville Cemetery in Mannsville, Oklahoma.
