MRS. EUNICE CLEVELAND, 1025 East 5th, died Sunday evening at a local hospital after a few days' illness. Survivors are her husband, Elder W. C. Cleveland; three sons, Elder William James Cleveland, Paducah; Elder Earl Cleveland, High Point, North Carolina; Master Harold Cleveland; brother, Mr. James Pettigrew; other relatives and friends. Body is at the funeral home of Buchanan. Funeral will be on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, East 8th Street, Elder C. A. Lynes and Elder N. B. Smith officiating. Eunice Pettigrew Cleveland, colabored with her husband to evangelize black people during the early days of the SDA church opening their message to American blacks. Mother Cleveland was the "velvet hand" that provided spiritual direction for her son's, Pastors:

Wlliam James Cleveland, Past President SDA SW Region Conference;

Earl Edward Cleveland, Past Evangelist, Southern Union Conference, Associate Secretary SDA General Conference and world renowned Evangelist; and

Harold Lovell Cleveland I, Past President SDA Allegheny West Conference.
