Mrs. Fussell had lived in Lizella since 1979 after retiring from Connecticut and moving to Georgia. She was a member of AARP and The Senior Bowling League where she continued bowling until she was ninety one years of age.
Vergie was preceded in death by her husband, Reno; son, Donald; sister, Mildred Ryan; and brothers, Edgar, Etheridge and Charlie Smith.
Survivors include one daughter;one grandson; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, a number of nieces and nephews.
