Michael Dean Westbrook, age 72, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by ones that loved him deeply on Friday, September 8, 2023. He was a native of Biloxi, MS and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, MS. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Michael is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Westbrook; parents, Charles and Evelyn Westbrook; brothers, Wayne and Dennis Westbrook; and by his sister, Theresa Ettinger. Michael is survived by his daughter, Michelle Dale (David); granddaughters, Elexie Dale and Sarah Cate Dale; brothers, Kevin (Gracie) and Larry Westbrook; and by many friends, children he considered his own, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Caroline, P.J., Cy, and Reagan for all the extra compassion, kindness, and heartfelt care he received while in the SICU unit of SRHS in Ocean Springs. Also, Shane with Vital Care Hospice for going above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible at home.
Visitation will be held at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. with service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.
