Wayne was born on Pearl Harbor day to Charles Westbrook and Evelyn Swansine.

He was a boy scout and alter boy in his youth. He was a 1960 graduate of Ocean Springs High School. The 1959 OS Yearbook reflects a message from a graduating senior, "I will my collection of absentee slips and tardy excuses to Wayne Westbrook". Sounds like something our Wayne could use in his youthful wild days.

Wayne served 2 years in the U.S. Navy and worked many years as an HVAC engineer at Litton Shipbuilding.

Dec. 20, 1961 he married Kathleen Seymour, daughter of Milton Seymour and Clara Roberts. Ellen and Wayne II were born to this union. The marriage was eventually dissolved.

In October 1999 he married Sharon Bellais, daughter of George Bellais and Beulah Creel.

Wayne played and loved music and he loved to dance. But most of all he loved children. Nothing entertained him more than watching a child blossom. Because of this, he leaves many children who, though not related, will always remember him as their beloved Paw Paw.

Wayne left behind his bride of 17 years, Sharon; his daughter Ellen and her children, Henry, Kathleen and Kristen Kuehn; son, Wayne (Carla) Westbrook II and his children, Mary Claire, Wayne III and Grady; step-granddaughter Savannah; siblings, Theresa Ettinger, Larry, Mike, Glenn and Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Johnnie and Dennis.
