MINER DIES AT WAKEFIELD
Wakefield - Arhtur Ernest Clark, 35, a miner and World War II veteran, died at his home in Thomaston at 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
He was born in Colfax, Canada, August 28, 1915 and came to Wakefield from Canada in 1933. He was employed at the Sunday Lake mine.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, one daughter, Della, and three sons, James, Jack and Keith, all at home His father, two brothers, John and James of Detroit and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Wilber, Mrs. Lola Grant and Mrs. Irene McNulty, Detroit. The father, who lives in Colfax, is visiting in Detroit.
He married the former Lillian Anderson in Detroit in 1938. Mr. Clark entered the army June 14, 1945 and was discharged in January of 1946. Wish I could have know Uncle Art but was only 4 years old when he died.
