Harold R. Armstrong, 87 of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday September 9, 2023 at Embassy of Woodland Park Nursing Home in Orbisonia, Pa. He was the husband of the late Linda C. (Weaver) Armstrong for 66 years before her passing in March 2023.
Born on December 15, 1935 in Perry County, he was a son of the late Carl and Ethel (Varner) Armstrong. He attended Mt. Union High School and later worked for General Motors for over 37 years. He loved attending and staying at the Huntingdon Fair. He also enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, and watching sports.
Harold leaves behind his daughter, Vicki Pratt of Franklin, TN; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and siblings, Ira Armstrong and wife, Ruth, Una Woods, Ina Wiser, Lee Armstrong and wife, Michelle, Paul Armstrong, Joy Hillard and husband, David, and Rea Homer and husband, Robert. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Barry Armstrong and siblings, Elvie Varner, Norma Shellman, and Rodney Armstrong.
All services will be private. He is to be buried with his wife at Spring Run Cemetery.
