Waynesville, Anna Ammons Inman, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at CarePartners Solace Center.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gradie Mae Cabe Ammons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Inman; daughter, Rhonda Trantham; brother, Boyd Ammons; and daughter-in-law, Clara Inman. She was employed as a surgical technician with Haywood County Hospital for 18 years, retiring in 1998. Anna was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed puzzles, playing bingo, cooking, and watching game shows.

Anna is survived by one daughter, Rita Wias and her husband, Artie, of Clyde; two sons, Douglas Inman, of Shelburn, Indiana and James Inman, and his wife, Kate, of Murphy; two sisters, Kathrine Greene and Darlene Goodson, both of Waynesville; son-in-law, Roger Trantham; five grandchildren, Shane Trantham, Angela Reece, Jim Inman, Dylan Sharp, and Greg Inman; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens.
