She was born on Sept. 7, 1898, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Magnus and Lasine Harwold Holmstrom.
She attended Brooklyn public schools and was a graduate of Brooklyn Business School. In 1923 in Brooklyn she was married to Eugene I. Oppel. Mr. Oppel died on March 8, 1970.
Mrs. Oppel was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Little Falls and a 50-year member of the Brooklyn OES. For many years Mrs. Oppel was a bookkeeper for the Lundstrom Manufacturing Co., formerly of Little Falls.
She leaves two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Harry (Florence) Dorr, Little Falls, and Mrs. Leroy (Louise) Oppel, Daytona Beach. Fla., and a nephew, Edwin Dorr, of Laurens, NY.
