Louise Marie Vallarino-Erikson passed away peacefully on May 14, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. She was bom on May 10, 1917 in Half Moon Bay, CA, to Stefano and Anita Vallarino.

Louise grew up in San Leandro, CA and enjoyed a happy childhood with her family and friends. It was there that she discovered the joy of playing the piano, which remained with her all her life. After graduating from San Francisco State College in 1940 with an BA degree in elementary education and a special degree in physical education. On November 14, 1942 she married Russell L. Louise taught at Santa Barbara High School for four years as a girls' physical education teacher and was active in Girls Athletic Association. She also taught at McKinley Elementary School and La Cumbre Junior High School.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed listening to music, playing the piano, dancing, playing tennis, gardening, cooking and engaging in art and craft activities.
She had a flair for home decorating.

As a resident of Reno, she was very active at the headquarters of the Republican Party and was a member of the 20th Century Club. Louise was optimistic about life and kept in touch with many friends all over the world. She loved being with people and they were always welcomed into her home. She was her own person and was true to her beliefs.

Farewell, my dear from Louise will be remembered by everyone with love, affection and admiration. She will always be in our hearts.

She is survived by her sister Marie Mollath, nephew Stephen Mollath and his family, all of Reno, Nevada. Also in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is survived by many cousins-Corinne Pelfini, David Bonelli, Dr. Edward Erigero and their children.
