Clifford Albert Albrecht was born in Wall Lake, Iowa May 11, 1908, the son of C. William and Elizabeth (Wunchel) Albrecht. On December 17, 1930 Cliff was married to Henrietta J. Miller, in the Peace Lutheran Parsonage. To this union six children were born: Dorothy, Mrs. Ross Sweeden, Arthur; Lola, Mrs. Gilbert Marron, Odebolt; Della Jean, Mrs. Eugene Mau, Odebolt; Lois, Mrs. Leo Grote, Wall Lake; Raymond Clifford, Lompoc, CA; and Clifton Ray, Spencer, Iowa.

Cliff died on July 22, 1986 at the Manning Hospital. At the time of his death he had attained the age of 78 years, 2 months, and 11 days.

Cliff was baptized in Peace Lutheran Church and was a charter member of Missouri Synod, Trinity Lutheran Church of Odebolt and also belonged to the voter's assembly.

In Cliff's early years he worked as a highway construction worker. He served as Odebolt police chief for 22 years and worded as a guard at Farmland Packing Co., Denison, Iowa for four years. He and his wife most recently operated a small plant and garden center in Odebolt for 40 years. He was a member of the Odebolt Fire Department.

Cliff's interests were his love of life, his family, his home, his gardens, and his friends in the area. He loved to fish and park on the corner of Main Street and sell his vegetables and fruits and visit with the people. He loved to play the harmonica for his family and enjoyed speaking German with his friends.

Cliff was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert, two brothers, Edward and William, a sister, Lola, a half brother Raymond, two step brothers, Alfred and Edward Rehder and two granddaughters, Marni and Gayle.

He is survived by his wife Henrietta "Ettie", his six children, a half sister, Leora Spurling, LakeView, a half brother, Vern Rahder, Sioux City, 20 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
