Lola Katherine Marron, 70, of Odebolt, Iowa, entered into the Lord's Kingdom, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday August 22, 2006 at Horn Memorial Hospital, Ida Grove, Iowa.

Lola was born July 16, 1936 in Odebolt, Iowa to Clifford and Henrietta (Miller) Albrecht. She was one of six children. On October 10, 1957, she wed Gilbert Marron in Reno, Nevada.

They lived all of their married life in the Odebolt area. She was employed at various cafes in the Odebolt - Arthur area. She will be remembered far and wide for her extraordinary cooking and baking skills. The grandchildren never came home for a visit, that her "famous" fried chicken wasn't requested. She was also known for her happy - jolly disposition. She could always find a laugh, in the gloomiest of days.

She loved her family and was dedicated to their well being. She loved her home and especially her flower gardens. She adored watching the birds that frequented her feeders, particularly the gold finches and cardinals.

She attended the Odebolt School System and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert and children, daughter, Susan A. Gierstorf and husband Gary of Lakewood, Colorado. Sons Rodney and wife Julie of Holstein, Iowa and Craig and wife Jackie of Odebolt, Iowa; step-daughter, Gloria and husband, Tom Garrett of Bakersfield, California; seven grandchildren, Erica Snell, Joshua Gierstorf, Jeremia, Jeffery, and Cheyanne Marron, Kathy and Ashley Garrett and one great-grandson, Isaac Snell, three sisters, Dorothy Sweeden of Arthur, Iowa, Jean and her husband Eugene Mau of Odebolt, Iowa and Lois and husband Leo Grote of Wall Lake, Iowa; one brother, Clifton (Ike)Albrecht and wife, Caroline of Spencer, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Robert, brother Raymond and brother-in-law Ross Sweeden.
